Here’s a basic outline of videos you should have on your website. The videos could be hosted on YouTube and you can share or embed them on your website, or share from other streaming platforms. If you have more videos on YouTube linked to your website, you have better chances to rank higher in a Google search.
HOME PAGE: TEASER VIDEO
This is a short, maybe 30sec, teaser/mood video, like a movie trailer, on your home page that will draw people in, make them stay and look around a bit more. This video should share the feeling you want the viewer to get from your brand, rather than explain in details what you do.
SERVICE PAGE: SERVICES VIDEOS
The different services or products you offer. Clarifying to the prospective customer what’s involved, how it looks, what you do etc.
These should be divided into separate short videos to gain as much as possible, again, having more videos on your website is great for SEO. Link to your YouTube channel.
ABOUT PAGE: ABOUT VIDEO
Not your CV. This video is about your Unique SUPER Power and why people should come to you and not your competition. So it needs to be personal and tell your story, to make prospective clients feel that you’re the one and only for them.
FAQ: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most people who contact you have similar questions. If you can extract five of these questions and answer them in separate videos, it’s really helpful for your viewers and saves you time. Plus it gives you more videos for your website!
This is the most important video form of all! We tend to put more trust in a real person who’s telling us about their experience, than a text about it. A testimonial video can be really short and simple, as long as it’s authentic.
